From time to time, AMD either makes the decision to prepare a design for a particular project, or is requested by an operator or shipyard to prepare a design to their specific requirements.

For various reasons, for example when a shipyard does not win the contract, or the project is put on hold, the vessel is not built.

Over the years, AMD has prepared a large collection of such designs, developed to various levels of detail, and this collection forms a data base from which a design can either be completed or from which a new similar design can be developed with confidence.

These designs include numerous types of vessels, such as passenger catamarans, vehicle/pax catamarans, monohull vehicle/pax vessels, patrol and rescue craft, cargo and utility vessels, private yachts and mini cruise vessels.
